Returns, Exchanges, Refunds and Warranty Policy

At Bialetti South Africa, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to assist you, subject to the conditions outlined below.

1. Cooling-Off Period (Direct Marketing Purchases)

If your purchase was made as a result of direct marketing, you may cancel the transaction within five (5) business days of receiving the goods, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging, and in a saleable condition.

2. Returns and Exchanges

Returns for non-defective products may be requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below:

  • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in a saleable condition.
  • All accessories, manuals, and original components must be included.
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) must be provided.

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Products that have been used, installed, altered, or damaged due to improper handling or misuse.
  • Products that have been modified or repaired by unauthorised persons.
  • Products returned without proof of purchase.

For hygiene, food-contact, and safety reasons, used coffee products, opened consumables, and products damaged through misuse may not be eligible for return unless defective.

3. Defective or Faulty Products

If a product is found to be defective within six (6) months of purchase, please contact us as soon as possible.

Faulty products will be inspected and tested upon return.

If no manufacturing defect is found, the product may be returned to you and reasonable collection or return shipping costs may apply.

If the defect is confirmed and the product is found to have failed due to a manufacturing defect, the customer may elect a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

4. Refund and Exchange Process

  1. Contact our Customer Service team by email, telephone, or WhatsApp to initiate a return or exchange.
  2. Our team will provide instructions and a return reference number.
  3. Once the product has been received, it will be inspected and assessed.
  4. Approved refunds, replacements, or exchanges will be processed within a reasonable period.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

5. Shipping and Return Costs

  • If a return is due to a manufacturing defect, incorrect item supplied, or our error, Bialetti South Africa will cover the reasonable return shipping costs.
  • Where a return is not due to a defect, incorrect item supplied, or our error, the customer may be responsible for reasonable collection and return shipping costs.

6. Warranty and Repairs

Selected Bialetti products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods may vary depending on the product purchased.

If your product develops a fault during the applicable warranty period, please contact our customer service team for assistance.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accidental damage, improper installation, unauthorised repairs, or normal wear and tear.

7. Important Information

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.

Bialetti South Africa reserves the right to decline a refund, exchange, or replacement where the product does not meet the conditions set out in this policy or where permitted by applicable law.
